About Us

The Scottish Clay Target Association (SCTA) is the recognised governing body for clay target shooting in Scotland. We are responsible for the development, promotion, and regulation of the sport, working to ensure it is safe, accessible, and well-represented at every level.

The SCTA supports affiliated clubs, individual members, coaches, and officials by setting standards, organising competitions, and providing guidance on safety, coaching, and best practice. From grassroots participation to elite performance, we help create clear pathways for shooters to progress and succeed.

We also represent the interests of Scottish clay target shooting at national and international level, working closely with partner organisations, governing bodies, and regulators. Through this work, we aim to protect the future of the sport, promote responsible participation, and uphold the values of fairness, integrity, and respect.

At the heart of the SCTA is a commitment to its members and the wider shooting community, ensuring clay target shooting in Scotland continues to thrive for generations to come.
